Purchase Indian Postal Orders online for RTI purposes

Indian citizens who desire to seek information under the Right to Information Act 2005 (RTI Act 2005) of the Government of India, can now purchase the necessary Indian Postal Order (IPO) electronically through the e-Post Office Portal.  The user needs to get registered at the website and select the Ministry/Department/Mission/Post from whom the information is desired to be sought under the RTI Act. The e-IPO generated can be used to seek information from that Ministry/Department/Mission/Post only.  A printout of the e-IPO is required to be attached with the RTI Application – whether being filed electronically or otherwise.
