Finance Minister announces setting up of Infrastrucutre Debit Funds

The Finance Minister, in his budget speech for 2011-12, announced the setting up of Infrastrucutre Debit Funds (IDFs) in order to accelerate the flow of long therm debt in infrastructure projects. IDFs are expected to contribute towards Government of India's ambitious program of infrastructure development and participation of offshore investors will be crucial to the success of this initiative.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention

The tenth edition of PBD will be held in Jaipur from 07 to 09 January 2012. It will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and the President will deliver the valedictory address. The discussions will be related to development issues such as health, education, youth, inclusive growth etc.
